GUIDELINES FOR TRAINING AND VENUES.

1.Occasional timetable and venue changes may be called at times without notice.

2. All our venues require that we use the pools only during the times allocated, giving parking priority to their population. If you find the parking full kindly drop your swimmer and pick them up at the end of training.

3. The happiest and most successful swimmers are those that own the sport very early and can link their own little success stories to their independent effort. Opportunities for this are presented through time management, self-changing, taking care of own equipment, making friends, being part of a team, developing a healthy competitive spirit etc.

Parents and guardians can support this by allowing the child to take this up. Granted, the very young ones may initially need a little help to change. We however discourage parents from camping at the pooside whilemaintainingan opendoor policy with thes

 staff off deck..

We run on a drop and pick policy during training training.

4.We do not have make up provision for classes missed.

5.Swimmers are expected to stick to their squad times and allocated pools, be punctual and maintain a high level of respect for teammates, officials, and facilities.

6.If a swimmer is going to be away for more than two weeks, a month’s notice is required.

7. Reporting time for activation is 15 minutes before the class. This will differ during public and school holidays and squads will be informed when necessary.

8.Once registered, fees are due for the season with a months’ notice given or a month’s fees paid in lieu for swimmrs leaving withinthe season.

9.Fees are due by the 3rd of the month, for the month or quarter. A discount is offered as an erly payment incentive. The discount ceases on the 3rd . The ability to run seamlessly is dependent upon timely payments to keep the venues secured and staff engaged throughout the season.

10. Swimmers will be guided to an appropriate level of competition but may attend events of their choice. There will however be specific club events during the season where the majority if not all swimmers will be expected to participate as a team.

11. Only Otters members will represent the club at Inter-clubs, county and National events. Non-members who want to compete have no obligation to swim for the club.

12. All members must wear Team branded kit for trips and meets (outer- wear and swim-caps) These will be made available by the Management Committee.

13. Transferring members need to apply for a release letter to their new club.

14.Members are expected to participate and contribute to regular team activities as set aside by the Management Committee.
